Play Store

To start from the beginning we have to go back to 2008, the year in which this online store developed and operated by Google was launched. At that time it was launched under the name "Android Market", which was changed in March 2012 to the name it currently carries, due to the Android Market + Google Music merger, its new digital distribution strategy.

Google play store

In a short time it has become the most visited application store in the market, also nowadays Google Play Store is available for all Android phones and tablets, whatever your brand or model. You can download it for Samsung, LG, Sony, BQ, Huawei, HTC phones and many more models (the list would be endless). But not only has it evolved in terms of support for different devices, but over the years it has increased considerably the number of applications offered:

In March 2009, it had 2,300 applications; in December 2011 the sum amounted to 380,297; and in October 2012 - less than a year later - the number almost doubled, registering 675,000 applications.

From the beginning he specialized in offering free and paid applications for smartphones and tablets, allowing users to browse and download applications (developed using Android SDK), music, books, magazines and movies. Unlike its main competitor, the Apple Store, Google Play is very flexible in terms of the admission of its own applications or of large developers; and that has undoubtedly been a key element in the evolution of its development.
